The Urban Ag Center is a public-private partnership created to provide Richmond’s MLK School Ag & STEM education, and turn the project into a world-class urban agriculture education and training facility. This effort will be focused on complementing, and supplementing STEM education at MLK Middle School and across the Richmond Public School system.
Our Mission is to provide FREE nutritious, responsibly produced healthy food to our neighbors in need. We also supply plants, seeds, chickens, and ducks to community gardens with an eye toward making our foodshed more resilient & self sufficient.
Our growing methods take the lead from mother nature & we honor the indigenous methods of controlled burn, natural animal soil disruption, & companion planting in order to most responsibly care for ecosystem we are a part of. We believe each one of us should be a steward of the earth & our fellow man acting deliberately to live with veracity, beneficence, and fidelity to our land and waterways.
